Default The day I feard is finally here.

The day I have been fearing for about a year and a half is finally here. My transmission on my 2000 Ram is slipping and bad! I was wondering if there was anyone out there who has found a transmission that they are happy with. Price is not a problem right now, so if someone could tell me what transmission is good for my truck I would appreciate it. I am looking to upgrade to something that can take a beating and still work as hard as the day i bought em.

Heard some good things about HTS transmissinons. They're in Michigan shouldn't be too far from you.

Is it possible to go from auto to manual without spending a fortune. I would probably consider a manual when my tranny goes, if its feasible.

ATS is also an alternitive. Seems like it's a personal preference.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, or in this case sometimes, get what you don't pay for.

A regular stock re-build may be fine if your're running stock performance. If you are hot-roddin, you may need more built up trans.

There are more techno savy folks here than me, just my $.02

yea or you could do what i'll call the "bigriver strategy" and buy a brand new mega cab CTD and then throw a complete built to the teeth ATS tranny that will last forever. probably the best way to do things i've ever seen. because now he never has to worry
