Default I need some help

I'm selling my 97 1500 4x4 and wants to get a 2500 Diesel and this is the truck i'm interested in. Is it ok to buy a diesel with 109K+ miles on it? is this price ok/fair? how many miles should i expect out of the Engine if it is taken care of? Should i expect and probloms at these miles? Just let me know if u THINK that is a ok deal etc and yes i ca probly crack a deal with them.

That's a sweet truck. I just bought my 04.5 about six months ago for the same price, but it only had 73k miles.

To answer your questions: No 106k miles is not a lot for one of these trucks, especially if it has been maintained well. I think if you shop around a little more you can find one with less miles for the same price. I've heard of guys buying new 2008 Quad Cab 4X4's for only $30k - $32k.

If you decide to go after the truck, make sure you check it out thoroughly. Mine had many problems when I got it. I bought it from an autotrader ad as well. Good luck. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Hmm, yea about the miles i have heard that 106K is not bad at all and can expect alot more milesoutof theengineif it istakin care of. Around 70K milesfor that price would be nice. I know i will be expecting to pay more from a dealer ship but i might just have to go the way to insure a good truck *i know there not always the best even from a dealer ship* And right now b/c of the new year prices are all over the place.

So recap i can pick up a 2500, 03-04 MAYBE 05 with around 80K miles 4x4 5.9L turbo Diesel crewcab short bed * really want a manual * for around 21,000?

That is a really good looking truck, but I think you could get a better deal. I picked up my 02 with 52K for 20.

dont worry about miles out of it,at 100'000miles its barely broken in,
cummins engine are know as million miles engine so dont worry about the engine durability much
But you should know that cuz u already drive a cummins,1rst gen maybe but none the less anyway cummins are bullet proof

Nah, mudding just takes way to much out of a truck. Mudd gets everywhere and eats everything. But hey, with this i can now pull my trail rig when i get one . i have called the company and meeting them monday to check out the truck and give it a spin.

On another note, if any1 is interested in buying a 97 with only 80K miles 5'5 fabtech lift, on 35's etc etc let me know
