Default When u mash on pedal should EGTS climb?

I have a edge juice attitude with hot unlock. When im at 65 mph on highway EGT reads 650-750 ish. When i go out and pass I floored it preety much and egts climb QUICKLY to 1200 ish on the gauge and then the alarm beeps, then i let off and it QUICKLY drops to 650 ish again. I have the sender between 3 and 4 on the manifold. I dont think location matters does it?

yes, mine will climb very fast when i mash on it. i was just on the freeway and i let off the gas for a minute and EGT's went down to 400, then i stepped on it and they shot up to 1300 in the matter of a second!

Is your air filter plugged or something? Do you have a boost leak?
My J/A probe is after the turbo and it only hits 1000 on a level 5 WOT blast.
My DiPricol EGT probe is right where yours is and it only reads about 600 on the highway at 70MPH. I have yet to see it go over 1100 (I haven't had it on long though)
FWIW, the biggest difference I have ever seen between the two is about 250 degrees under WOT. Otherwise the pre turbo EGT is only about 150 degrees hotter than the Edge mounted post turbo while cruising, and when I take my foot of the throttle, the pre turbo EGT quickly drops below the post turbo temps by as much as 100 degrees.

EDIT-- You have a ****** Whistler with a prefilter don't you?
Try taking the prefilter off and see if anything changes.
I run Outerwears on my off raod car and they do work well to keep the filters clean in the dirt, the dust doesn't sick and just falls off, but they do restrict air flow and as such require a much bigger air filter under them than would normally be required to make the pre filter big enough to allow enough air flow. Clear as mud

That 250* ~ 300*F pre-turbo/post-turbo difference illustrates the heat of the exhaust being converted to actual work at the turbine shaft. Said work drives the compressor.

the amsoil prefilter I doubt is restricting it.

There is an easy way to tell. The prefilter is a little loose on the amsoil filter normally. Have someone rev the engine up while you watch the filter. If it sucks in tighter to the filter when the engine is revved, the prefilter is causing a restriction. It may be small, but I guarantee it IS a restriction.
