Default cruise stuck to "accelerate"

since OD was tempermental, I have not used cruise control. used it today on the freeway and it stayed in "accelerate". never locked in toa speed nor decellerated.

I had to shut it off.

any ideas??

might pull out the switches and check for good conections may be a lil rust on them or something....just a thought, or you could try the ol' hammer tap method...

i don't have your answers, but the thread brought to mind our trip to arizona last year, 85mph was all i could do on cruise, i had the truck over a 100 sometimes but not without applying pressure myself, seems sort of big brotherish, this is how fast we will let you cruise, anything else your on your own.

believe that I know what it was.

there was an old TSB for the 93 cruise control still in the Dodge dealer computers.

the old style cruise had a mind of its own basically.


I fixed it , sort of...
