i think for something thats going to be a show point in my truck, i would rather go with a fabricated fit that comes from the store plus restriction would more if a minumun. but then again thats my opinion

Here's how I did mine. A 4X4 tube witha 4" round into it. The stacks are 5" and the connectors are oblong. It works pretty good.

Ive seen the square tubeing/rectangular tubeing before. . .when you have two 5"stacks comeing out of a 4x4 tube at 90*, or a 6x2 rectangular tube with the same, the restriction is not as great as you think. however the abrupt change in direction does increase backpressure, that backpressure can lent itself to help low end torque
