Default used block

since my 53 block cracked... if I were to replace the block with a used block what would some of the things to look for be? which years are compatible? and are there big differences in the blocks themselves?

for everything to work right you would need an engine with a VP44 injector pump, 98.5-02. however you could always find yourself a 3rd gen HPCR and toss it under the hood

Another option is to try this website:

http://www.car-part.com

This is a clearing house for wrecking yards in the US and Canada. I've used it before and as a matter of fact, I need to use it again to find a replacement oh **** handle for my driver's side pillar.
