What to do if EGTS are over 1500?
I've siad it before and I'll say it again. Something aint right. We have a similar setup except I still have my cat on which should keep my egt's a little higher. I can't get my alarm to go off. Either the slip-o-matic shifts too fast or I run out of straight away. The highest I ever saw was 1350 with the 5'er on the back. And believe me I've had the pedal denting the floorboard many a times. There is no reason you should no seeing those egt's with only an edge especially if it does it on stock setting.

true. thanks. i just wanted extra HP and wanted a bit more power to tow my 34 foot TT. it weighs about 10,000 lbs. Ill probably use the edge on level 2 tow.

one other thing i forgot to mention is that my boost never gets over 23-25 psi ever. (unloaded)
Shouldnt it be in the 30's? Could this be why egts are high?
Cruising on highway at 65 mph my boost reads 4 psi

When I had my Smarty on the stock programing, I was only seeing about 25lbs. Highest I have seen with the Smarty is 31lbs. As far as highway readings, I see 10-14lbs.
I still have stock air in take, turbo, and exhaust and I've never seen 1500 EGT. 1405 towing 16k up a 3% grade at WOT on the highest setting of my Hypertech is the highest I've ever seen. Maybe your gauge needs calibrated or is inaccurate?
