Injection pump leaking/weaping

Injection pump leaking/weaping
Has anyone every had their injection pump leak or weap on an 2005 Ram? I am probably going to have the local dealer look at it, I am assuming that it should be covered under the engine warranty. Hopefully someone might be able to enlighten me if they have encountered a similar problem. The lower half of the injection pump is wet but does not have a destinctive smell. I found this when I crawled under the truck to service the power steering fluid as suggested by another memeber Steve.

RE: Injection pump leaking/weaping
alright. . .after a little research I was a little wrong. . .the CP3 does have a weap hole about the size of lacing wire, maybe a little smaller.
its pupose is that if the cp3 shaft seal leaks on the fuel side it lets the fuel out of the pump so it does not put pressure on the seal on the oil side of the shaft. if the oil side seal would leak you would fill the oil with fuel in a hurry.

RE: Injection pump leaking/weaping
Well I picked my truck up from the dealers tonight and they have ordered a new CP3 injection pump and will be changing it out next tues. Just keeping everyone updated. I was realy surprised when they told me this. I thought for sure that they would say that it was not really leaking therefor it would be ok.
