TST settings were up at 5/5 and as we'd all expect he was quite impressed. he has an old ford diesel he's looking to upgrade.

Tell him the only way to upgrade the old Ford is to trade it for a newer Dodge!! I know thatfrom experience. I had an old Ferd with the 6.9, and it was BUILT! I was hot rodding that thing around long before diesel engines were even popular. I could outrun any diesel for a long time. The first truck to beat me was a 94 Dodge Cummins with mild upgrades.
If he has the 6.9, it is too old to mess with. New technology is such that in order to compare, more money must be spent on that old block than he's probably comfortable with. The later 7.3s are good engines, and easily upgradeable. He won't be as impressed as he was with your rig, but it will be a noticeable improvement.
IMHO, his money is best spent on a newer Cummins. Upgrades abound.

Tell Him The New 6.4 Ford Is Not Worth The Money. I Will Admitt My Company Got One, and I Really Hate It. Ever Driven The New Ford Diesel? It Shifts As If You Removed Your Foot From The Pedal For 2 Seconds Between Shifts.. Really Only Got It For The Harley Davidsion F250. + Had $5800 for Fleet Discount Through America Standard, and Dodge Had No Fleet Discount.

Poor Choice on My Part... I Have Allowed My Guys to Adopt It For The "On Call Truck" They Seem To Love It..

It Averaged 12MPG Highway While Towing The Snowmobiles.. and About 8MPG around Town..I'll Say It Myself OUCH.

... Don't Let Him Get the New Ford LoL - Learn From My Mistake. Pay The Extra For The Cummins' It'll Pay You Back.[sm=badidea.gif]
