After spending 5 grueling years on an engineering degree to do something that I didn't really enjoy, I took a $40,000 pay cut to go do what I had always wanted to do with my life. Living with less money has been an adjustment, but I can tell you one thing, there's no replacement for getting up every day to go do something you want to do. And there's certainly no replacement for being the best in the business at what you do. I have no regrets. Being willing to make sacrifices and having the motivation to accomplish something will turn you into an expert in whatever it is you do. There a few people in the world who can do my job better than me. If you ask me, I'd rather live with less money.
