Default 6.7L Swap

I am looking to upgrade my current 07 3500 MegaCab dually 5.9L for a new Sterling Bullet CONV55. Just curious as to how hard it would be to swap the 6.7L for the 5.9L?? They both have the same transmission, just different rear ends..

Any ideas, please feel free to post!

It's a medium duty truck that uses a CTD. http://www.sterlingtrucks.com/_Asset...etBrochure.pdf

Wouldn't it be easierto sell your current truckto buy a dodge 4500 or 5500 seeing as these are simply a dodge re-labeled because sterling is a ford brand! but I also have to question why the huge panic to have a 6.7?????

Well I guess the real question is if you are looking for the increased payload or if you simply like the look of these trucks better than your current dodge. If it is a matter of the increased payload then I would takea 6.7 and not look back. The way cummins stands behind there engines I don't think you have anything to worry about. I mean the 6.7 has had is problems but all new engines will, the thing to keep in mind is that cummins/dodge has dealt with all of these problems in a timely and efficient way.

Actually Sterling is a Daimler brand, hence why the Bullet is basically a rebadged Ram, as Daimler until recently owned Chrysler/Dodge.

Well I know that the sterlings have been sold for quite sometime at ford dealerships hear in alberta. I have a budy who is a mechanic at metro ford and was telling me the rest of the techs were pissed when they saw the new trucks and they were re badged dodges he on the other hand walked up behind a group looking at the new truck and said Its about time we got some quality on this lot (he Drives a 03 2500 CTD) I wish I could of seen the looks on the faces when he said that

6.7 sucks for fuel mileage, to much junk on the engine.

What's the need for the 5500, carrying, hauling or pulling ???
