I get my readings right off the banjo on the Bosch pump and it is very stable. Its only spikes down when I floor it
Hey Bob, Big time Kudo's for your ingenuity in putting together a back up pump.
That's a mystery still with that crap being found. Could it perhaps be some paticles of your fuel filter, or fuel line breaking up? Hope that it's not due to some ***** screwin with you. Ya just might have to pull out the rodeo shot gun for some out of season service!

Is there a screen of any kind on the bottom of the pickup tube?
The mystery continues. The tank was clean enough to eat out of it. There was nothing jammed in the filler tube either (like a fist full of leaves and twigs some a-hole put it there).
I guess the Walbro pump sucked all of the stuff out of the tank and into the filter. I flushed the lines, cleaned out the filter and will put everything back together.

So....this little invention of yours, are you planning on selling it as a kit at all? Or selling the plans?
Ever since my lift pump went out, I'm paranoid that it will go out again and this sounds like the perfect option.

That's weird that nothing was in there. I wonder if at one time there was something stock to the bottom of the stocker, and then when you switched over to the Walbro the stocker dropped off whatever it was holding onto and the walbro picked it up?
Weird ....
Weird ....
