I have recently installed autometer gauges in my truck and I have only got the boost to get up to 19-20 p.s.i. floored. I noticed in another thread that Mayfair said he was pushing like 30 p.s.i. Mayfair do you have any mods on your truck besides exhaust? I have Hypertech stacked with the Power Puck. Any ideas the boost gauge is tapped into the back of my intake manifold.

 

I have gotten 25 with my truck all stock but I disabled the wastegate.

 

The wastegate opens up around 22-24 PSI on the 2001 trucks. That is about all you will get out of one unless you have a turbo with a rubber line going to the waste gate. If you do have a rubber line, then you can buy a fooler on ebay that will let you get more PSI out of it.

 

CowboyBob- do you remember what this 'fooler' is called on ebay? My truck may have one already because I have an auto tranny with a rubber line. And if I remember correctly the autos came with steel.

 

That's about all I was able to get boost wise until I got my edge. The edge came with a boost elbow. Once I screwed it in, it raised my boost, but I still don't think it goes over 25-30.

 

I don't know the official name. I don't have one but have read about it on here. Many others do use it. Maybe someone who knows will post it.
