You might as well go ahead a straight pipe your truck if you run those things!! You'll need the exhaust noise to drown out the LOUD *** tire noise...........
Those suckers look LOUD!!!

A lot of jeep guys up here run em. All i know about em is they are really soft, loud, and hookup in the mud like all getout.

Judging from the crowned center part of the tread, I'm guessing you have to run them soft and are probaby good in sand.

I have a set of the SSR's on my jeep that I love but I have heard really bad stories about the thornbirds especially off road. Lots of guys say they would never run them again. BTW I got mine for about 185 bucks apiece for 32X11.50's from discount tire co so I would give them a call. They have a swamper hum, but arent too loud on the road at 50 mph. Sorry for the crappy pic but its all I have Name: n12320292_33977901_1934.jpg

Great off-road tire ,but wears way to fast on the highway do to the soft rubber. Probably get 15k miles out of them.

They maybe soft but feels like having a mouth full of chiclets in your mouth while driving very rough. I had a set of 33's on my yota and glad I got rid of them and went with SSR's. If you like the design and want an aggressive tire the SX is a good one and rides alot smoother that the thornbirds--big difference and the sx's have a better side wall.

MayFair - - - don't but Thornbirds!!! I had a set on my old '94 Dodge 1500 and the SUCK!! Road like hell and wore out really quick. They are made from a really soft compound, so I'd hate to see how quickly they'd wear out on a heavy 3/4 ton truck. I havea Jeep also with 36" super swampers so I can't really say if the Thornbirds are loud, but I remember how they would hydroplane if someone spit in the road.

Seriously, stay AWAY!!!

Hope this helps!

Ya,I Would Have To More Than Agree - Had My Own Experiance W/ Them.

- They Were THE Loudest Tire I Have Had, And It's Not A Consistant Hum. It Was LOUD, thats Why You See So Many Good Deals.. If You Check Out Some Jeep Forums, Thy're A Lot Of Thornturds For Sale.

- Horrible Hoooorible Offroad Traction, Sidewalls Rock For Ruts But If Your In Loose Mud, Those SuckersGum Up Like You Wouldn't Believe.

I Ended Up Selling Mine An Bought The Pro Comp X-Terrains, Sold The Rig After That.
