Default Good Trade? Opinions Needed!

Well a buddy of mine is looking to downsize a little and wants to me to trade him my 06 2500 CTD 6 spd 4x4 quad cab with 30,000 miles ( mineral grey) for his 07 2500 CTD auto 4x4 laramie with 13,000 miles (white). His has a 3 inch lift with 35x13.50 mud terrains on 20x10 chrome wheels. His has a bully dog chip, all the gauges, leather, moon roof and is loaded out! His also has a flip out dvd player, 2 10" subs and 2 amps with all aftermarket door speakers. The deal is I would have to trade my truck and 5 grand to get his truck. It sounds like a pretty good deal to me, but I know that my truck has been taken care of but don't know enough about his. I know it's low milage, but I also know factory warranty put a new tranny in his at 3000 miles and his chip has been run on the lowest setting since. I'm stuck and can't decide, what should I do?

sounds like a good deal to me, if you think its worth it then buy it........ will the warrenty be transferable??

also, why would he want to make a trade like that.... sounds like the truck was his baby, no one wants to just let their baby go[:-]

If its a buddy, then it sounds pretty legit. I just got hosed on a trade deal that i shouldve known was too good to be true. I knew the tranny was needing rebuild, but i knew it was still a really good deal. well the guy was dishonest and lied to my face when he said he told me about all the issues. needless to say im ending up spending a LOT more than i had expected. just be careful and make sure hes trustworthy. id go for it

is his the 6.7 or 5.9? if he's wanting that bad to trade it off there's gotta be something he doesn't like about it.

Just trade all the goodies off of it for your stock stuff.

If you have good truck that you are happy with, I would not trade it.
