Mixed suspension
I want to lift my truck and all that and have been reading about the Kore, Carli and Lorenz systems. I like the idea of how those suspensions work, but I'd like to go a little higher. I know Kore offers the Technical series which adds 5.5" lift, which would be ok. Then I found a system by a company called "Pure Performance". I don't want to do coil overs on the front, but I like the looks of their rear coilover conversion with the trailing arm setup. I was thinking a Pure Performance rear end and Kore front end combination. The Pure Peformance rear actually lifts 6" which would be fine with the Kore 5.5" front. I actually prefer the slight rake with the rear a little taller than the front (makes things sit more level when towing something).
Has anyone seen or used the Pure Performance rear end? I'm wondering what that convertion does to your tow rating and handling while towing?

Yah, I'm aware of the u-joint issues. That rear suspension allows indexing of the rear end, which will eliminate that on that end of the shaft. I will probably drop the x-fer case as well to help so the angles aren't as severe. I was kinda wondering what that coilover rear would do as far handling the weight (as in, will it sag more, be sloppy, etc).
I havne't yet had the need to pull anyhting that's near max gcvw and don't really anticipate it, but if converting to such a rear would make pulling even 8,000 or so pounds undoable, then I'll have to rethink it.
