o.t. Wife is pissed
What's the deal with the safety's on the XD,the rear griphas been on the 1911 model for over a hundred years and the other is the same type on the clock???.
Now you can have them work on the triggerand make them a whole lot better shooting and a sure feel, and it's still cheaper after you have work done it.
I know the life time warranty is stopping you

You guys better be careful about giving away your secrets on here. I found out my wife was reading DF at work and looking at all of the stuff I was posting. I found out when she came home one day and asked me when I was going to get rid of that stupid picture of me riding my horse.

well mine wife dont like guns but she think its a good thing i have some and that i pretty accurate whit them (shes been whit me a couple times for ducks and deer)
but she like the fact that EVERYBODY who know me, know that i got a couple guns in house and that im more shoot first, then a couple more, then once more to make sure then ask questions...
but i got the permit to own handguns but i didnt buyed some yet,i got a shooting range right in front of my house the other side of the road and everytime i go there buddys share me handguns so...
hehehe
im in love whit my 870

OK i agree h&k is good gun comparable to the glock but it dosent fit my hand right ,but that being said some people find the glockto big for the hands, but to each his own there are honestly not to many bad guns out ther but there are a few and i think everyone knows what they are.
To me there are cool guns and practicle guns i like both but for everyday carry glock for me but out shooting i will enjoy most guns.
As for concealed carry i prefer inside the wasteband (IWB) leather holsters not the most comfortable but conceals really well. Kramer leather is a good brand but pricy.

Yes that is the main thing, how it feels in your hand, some are going to able you to hit the target with a natural feel to you, where another one will work you to death.
Ihave big hands, so most sub-compacts I can't hold, never mind fire them.
So get what works for you, I didn't like the XD-40 when I bought it, wasn't shooting as good as I like, then I remembered most guns I bought off friend, guns I shot and liked , that were broke in , the XD was the first one I bought brand new in the box, so I had to ware in it and still have a lot of rounds to go, to get it to shooting as good as some of my others.
Hell you use to be able to find a place to shoot anywhere, 10 years ago I could shoot out my back door, had nothing but woods for 2 miles behind me, now days you have to pay to shoot inside.

I would prefer this over glock...
HK USP Tactical 45ACP

I had one of those in Iraq my last trip. I hated it. H&K USSOCOM MK23... Might as well have a desert eagle. It's HUGE. 15 round double stack .45 ACP. And, why the hell thread the barrell for a supressor when the action is almost as loud as the bullet? Even some contractors that worked for H&K said it was designed poorly, but someone convinced uncle sam to get them for SF groups.
I prefer a glock due to the flat top sights. It's like shooting a shotgun. Even my wife can quickly aquire a target. Plus, you have to love the amount of models and calibers the glock comes in. Springfield is a great great great gun, but for the price, I'll stick with glock.
P.S. I carry an m9 here now, and I HATE it too. Stupid beretta...
at home i have/carry glock 17c 9mm (wife's gun), glock 23 .45 GAP, glock 37(??) .45 GAP (Concealed carry)
I only carry IWB when I have to, I love carrying on my hip. With the proper holster and belt the butt of the gun hugs your side and cant be seen. I put the trijicon TFO's on my xd40 and love them.

I carry mine in the front on the right side. My beer belly covers the handle nicely and you cant tell it's there even with just a t-shirt. The Glock 26 is pretty easy to hide anyhow.
