Pre Purchase Inspection...?? any reason? and price check please...
any reason to get a PPI on a Dodge CPO MegaCab CTD Laramie? carfax is clean but I've seen clean carfaxes and then found replaced body panels with no report of it.
their price seems a little high too...what should a '06 2500 MegaCab CTD Laramie w/42k go for? it's got heated leather, running boards, and thats about it...mostly stock other wise, but it looks pretty clean. I will be paying cash but it's an out of state sight unseen purchase.
TIA for any and all help.

oh man, I would never purchase a vehicle without seeing it first, but if you are going to I think an inspection would be a must. What is the asking price for the truck?

Wow. That sounds way high. You can get a new 08 with the 6.7 well equiped for $32,000...

and aren't the 5.9's more desirable than the 6.7's? I've now found a '07 2500 4x4 5.9L 13k miles Laramie with everything except sunroof and nav for $33k+ change.
thanks for the replies.

Most people opt for the 5.9 as they have a great track record and tend to get better fuel mileage, however the guys with the 6.7's dont seem to be complaining as much. Even though the sticker prices are that high, you should be able to get 10k straight off of that no problem. However that 07 you found sounds fairly decent.
Sound a little high. I just bought a 06 2500 quad 4x4 with 2,000 miles on it from a dealer in North Georgia for 27k. but I did price some 08"s for 35k.

I bought mine new in 06 for that price. You might want to look around for a better deal.

h@ll...I don't know. I'm willing to pay a little of a premium to get exactly what I want but I don't want to get screwed. and I really don't think I want a 6.7...not to mention that all the 4x4 6.7 '08s I've seen with laramie leather and the works are stickered at $50k + around here. if you guys could point me to one of those $30k deals I'd give ya $1k commision at the completion of the deal.
