Default Truck is getting it's 1st tranny service...

since the rebuild last summer. Mike @ Capital Transmissions in Citrus Heights says that it looks great, will be adjusting the band to take up a little slack. Slapping in 10~12 quarts of Amsoil tranny fluid while we are at it.

The biggest problem with his shop is its proxcimity to Orchard Super Hardware (OSH)... bastards have a Craftsman tool crib. like a kid in a candy store. I finally pulled the trigger and bought an air compressor... 30 gal upright, 6 hp/2hp running for $200 bux. Phil, the manager there knocked off another $25 bux of their clearance price of $225 which made it too good to pass up. the one next to it had a weaker motor, bigger tank and cost $130 bux more... no thanks.

$88 bux in labor... $110 in fluid (amsoil) truck shifts a tad bit better (1st thing I noticed)
