Well, my older son has to have a tooth extracted on 3/6/08. I thought the dental insurance from a major corporation would cover most of the costs 9 I work for JPMorgan Chase NA.). well my wife called me from the dentist office and told me we are going to be responsible for over $600.00 of the procedure. This really sucks and puts a damper on some potential fun money I was going to have for Diablo. after writing them a check they told us 3/6/08 is the day. I am very irritated with this insurance crap. Oh well just blowing off some steam

 

Dental and vision are always a joke. They say 80% but it is only 80% or this and that. None of us in the family can walk out of the dentist office with out dropping at least $300 [:@].

 

that sucks jimmy, how many teeth? I'm getting all four wisdom teeth done after this semester is over...I kinda wanna get it done, but at the same time i dont. I hope it doesn't cost my parents $600

this company , along with others, give huge discounts on medical, dental, pharmacy, and vision for little $ a month. to cover my WHOLE family was $20 / month!!! I got a heck of a deal at the dentist

 

well my insurance really cover 80% of cost up to 4000$ per year for my family,ive got a canal treamant 2 weeks ago ,it run to 600$ and i had to pay about 100 something bucks

I had an impacted canine removed a few months ago, they had to cut open the roof of my mouth and break it out. I was given 2 ativans to take before I went it in (I am a nervous wreck about knives and needles), IV sedation, novacaine, and nitrous oxide. That whole procedure was right about $500-$600, my part was around $350. Most people dont understand that every dentist has different charges. I went to one who charged me $200 to fix a chip on my tooth (no drilling or anything), I went to another and had a couple of fillings done (white which is more expensive) and it cost less that $100. I got to thinking about it and figured how the first dentist had a flat screen tv in front of every chair and each chair had its own remote to change to DIGITAL CABLE BOX channels. In his "cosmetic room" for his high dollar clients he had 3 50" plasmas. I never went back to that guy again. Moral of the story, it never hurts to shop around.
