Default Joining the Cummin's family

Well it looks like I'm gonna buy the 01I looked at today, its pretty, needs new tires and a bedliner but other then that its pretty clean, has anyone install there own sprayon bedliner, the stuff you buy front Walmart, the bed of the truck dosn't have anything in it and I want to but a bedliner in it. Also what's a good chip to put in for fuel economy and maybe alittle power. Thanks for all your help

How does the dashboard look? I understand some of the '01's virtually disintegrated from the effects of hot weather and uv exposure. My buddy's '01 Ram 1500 has softball-sized holes in the top of the dash. There was quite a discussion about this on the 2nd gen Ram forum.

I wouldnt buy the do it yourself spray on bed liner. My buddy put it on his old chevy truck and it looks like crap. It bubbled and pealed[sm=smiley21.gif]. If you want it to look nice and stay nice, check out line-x.
BTW congrats on the new truck

I got an 02 and the dash is perfect..like new!.....I have a line X bedliner and it is awesome. I got a gooseneck hitch in the bed as well. The stuff still looks like new and I have never had it re colored or anything. GO line X or rhino linings...

As for the Chip, I have the Edge with Attitude which is awesome for monitoring everything. It gave me a little better fuel economy along with some power. I stacked it with the Smarty programmer and together then give it a new set of ***** and a little better fuel milage..

Congrats on the new truck...beware that this site is very addicting and your truck will soon have many mods thanks to us!

good luck!
