Default how to run a smarty

I borrowed my friends smarty the other night and ran it on 7 and it had so much more power and it sure put some smoke out. I'll be gettin it fully updated used for 450 and I was wondering what would be the best to run my truck on. All I do is drive around town not hauling anything. One reason I'm gettin it is for better MPG. I have read on here that some people got better MPG running it on a higher setting then the one labeled for MPG.

best way to adjust for mileage is to start on the lowest setting and work your way up while tracking mileage.

you'll be amazed, just to crank it too high or you'll roast your tranny/clutch.

someday I'll get one too... would be interesting to see if it bumps up mileage with the tst stacked on the 3/2 settings that gave me the 18.8 mpg...
