It's a shame you are in Canada. I'd offer to install a top of the line FASS system for you for $1200.00. I'd even "throw in" a little PS to "clean out" your system.

This dealer is HOSEING you !!

So when does "Mayfair's Garage" open?

I agree, get a second opinion.

Calgary,AB. Anyway's I guess the real problem was that the service guy was a retard and was telling me everything *** backwards and incorrect. I took my truck out of their shop after paying 1700.- for them to put the lift pump in my tank. A little expensive, but at least some progress. The 3600.- was actually for a new injector pump which I still need. Instead of paying them 2900.- for their rebuilt injector pump I'm looking to get one online and then pay someone who speaks "diesel" the labour to install it. Looking at the Bosch also seen the Mopars on E-bay for around 1000-1400. Any recomendations/suggestions? Also thinking about a low fuel supply pressure warning light.

Well he didn't have any currency indicators in his original post and I couldn't imagine anyone in their right mind paying $1700 for a $550 job. It sounded more like 1700 pesos than it did dollars.

The dealer is doing what they are good at. Convincing you that you need work done that you don't need, then over charging you for it. $150 diagnostic? Come on you already know you need a new lift pump, $250 to purge your fuel system? WTF? $1200 to replace the lift pump? You can get that done all day around here for $550 and that includes the part.
