Default Ideas?

Well, I just found out from my dad I got aproved for 3 grand to fund my Senior Graduation Project. As some of your know, I will be doing my truck for my senior project to pass my senior year of high school. I have to take pics, have over 20 hours in my truck, and write a 8 - 10 page paper on the pros and cons of going diesel over gas. Well here is the deal, I have already done a lot of the truck, that I am saying I did in this time period so it looks like I did more. But really, I am going to put on a new turbo, exhaust manifold, and thats it. Should put me right around 3 grand I am guessing. I wish I could do a water or methonal kit but I am not sure exactly what that does or what it help and how much you get from it. Thats why I got YOU guys (and girls!)! Here is what I need to know:

1. Is the HTT turbo good? I am thinking the 71 series 62-14. Seems right for my application!
2. Is ATS 3 piece the best exhaust manifold? If not, whats better?
3. About how much is propane? or water/methonal? and what are the benefits if any? worth it?

THANKS for all the help and this isnt that last time you will hear from me needing info for this big project I am doing!

BTW: The truck is in the body shop. Got a Cowl Induction hood being painted and put on for it. Having the tail gate painted and the new LED tail lights to match the truck. I got the hood for $75. It was damaged during shipped so they let them go CHEAP. I couldnt believe it, for under $500 ill have a painted hood installed! I will take pics when I get it back!

Its not really "sponsered" but its kinda like it. I have to pay the money back by working for my dad's buddy this summer in Maine. Not to bad at all. I can live with it.

but anyays:

this is what I have come up with looking over it tonight:

1. The HTT 71 Series 62-14 Turbo (around $1,755.00 is the best I found)
2. The HX40 4 inch down pipe from HTT (around $180.00 is the best I found)
3. The ATS 3 piece exhaust manifold ($424.00 is the best I could find)
4. Not sure if it is needed but the BD-Power hose and clamp kit for up to 75psi (around $225.00)
5. Also not sure if it is needed, but the BD-Power exhaust manifold gasket kit (around $25.00)

Anyone think I should change stuff on my list of items?

any help is awesome!

I think I would loose the exhaust manifold and instead get yourself some silicone boots. I think it was Drew who mentioned that the exhaust maniflods just aren't worth it, but loose a boot and you'll hate life pretty quick.

What kinda hood did you get? Lemme see !!!!!

I got an idea. How about $3k worth of tranny upgrades for my truck. I'll even drive it down there and leave it as long as you need. Of course I'll be needing your truck to drive home.

BTW here was my senior project. We were poor and could only afford Natty Light.

Well I hear that the stock manifold will most likely crack with anything over 26psi....but maybe I am wrong. I wish I had a pic of the hood, but the day I got it, I dropped it at my buddys shop to get fixed and painted along with my lights.

That looks like a summer project to me, 2 summers ago my friend built a bridge across his indoor porch that was pretty long out of bud light cans....(a lot of money and hangovers came out of that).
