Default ordered a smarty!!!!

well today was the day, i said hell with it! i have been looking for a great price and finally found one, im just hoping i dont get screwed like i did on the edge juice w/ attitude. for those of you who dont know or remember i paid around 550 for a used edge set up and the assh*le never sent it[:@] i am very skeptical about everything i buy online now so lets hope i get what i paid for this time around. it was from an ebay store, but they did not have it listed so they told me to call and do it over the phone as i was assuming they were trying to escape ebay and paypal fees because they do get expensive for higher costing items.

i felt alright about doing that because they have perfect feedback around 200 i think it was, they have a website although its not up yet, and they have a company phone number. i paid with a credit card and told them i need a receipt and a tracking number so well see if i get that tracking number tomorrow.

anyone bought anything from "anything diesel" or heard of this company??

FYI, the reason it wasn't listed on a page is, it's not legal for anyone to sell a Smarty for less than the adveritized price of $685. If MADS knew about this sale, they'd yank that person as a dealer ... if they are. Plus, you have NO warranty purchasing from ebay. It says it right on the front page of MADS website.

I hope you have no problems cause it looks like you're stuck with it if you do.... sorry to be the bearer

Triton is right, but on the upside I have heard of "anything diesel" but don't of anyone that has used them before. Hope it all works out.

For $75 more bucks, you could have had it shipped and got a 100,000 dollar bar to boot :-)

The warranty isn't so much the programmer failing, it's the back up support you can get from Bob Wagner and Marco. Bob is the North american distributor and Marco owns the company and writes the programs.

Yes, many have need help with programming. Messing with the ECM can be dangerous as not everything is fool proof all the time. **** happens. I've seen several people that lost everything and without Bob and Marco there to write a recovery program... they would have been SOL.

hopefully you'll be ok and never have a problem. If you do though.... you'll wish you spent that extra $75 :-)

well, you could always send it back. Sorry I know it probably made you feel uncomfortable but, you needed to know. The place you purchased from very well may be a authorized dealer and if they are you're good to go. They are allowed to sell the box for a less price they advertised, they shouldn't be though and it can't be published on the net... by them.

If I were you, I'd call Bob to verify the dealer before opening it. Just tryin' to help man.
