OK that what I thought you were talking about. Is that one better than the one from Defiant, do you really think you need that big peice of square tubing.

The square tubing is very needed. It acts as a solid brace between the front frame. That's a part of keeping frame flex in check. It also stabilizes the PS box with a greasable bearing to help prevent play there. There are a few people out there making them I believe but, as I said... that is the original.

and here's another.... I guess it's preference as to which someone goes with. http://lazarsmith.com/SSSSS.html
IMO, the boxed DSS is a lot more rigid than the others and uses thicker steel.

Buzzy just to let you know I just installed a Defiant brace and it made a world of difference on my truck.

I hear ya. The only reason I went with the Defiant is it tucks up nice over the swaybar and is not seen. All I can say is if Paul makes this himself he has one hell of a break to bend 1/4" plate. Plus his customer service is A+++ he sent me a email 40mins after Fedex droped it off stating that if I had any problems installing it to call him, he was about 10mins to late I had it installed when I got the email....
But I'm sure any of them are worth the money spent...[sm=smiley20.gif]

I guess it would be the "nature of the beast" even with the DDS and dual steering stablizer she has "bump steer". Maybe as suggested upgrading the shocks may help. As for ball joints we will never find a good ball joint replacement as the AAM axel in its design will never allow that to happen, the way the ball joints line upon the vertical axis the lower ball joint takes all of the load! Eventually we're gonna replace those aftermarket ball joints, maybe just not as quickly as the OEM ball joints. If we had "king pins" we'd be far better off!!
