Default diesel kill switch

guys i have a problem...
i live in juarez, mexico and this is my 3rd truck this year...
my other 2 got stolen and since this is a diesel its harder to install a kill switch to the fuel pump
so i was wondering if theres any way i could install one to the fuel shutdown solenoid...
it would consist of a hidden switch that if not turned on the truck wouldnt run
i have a 97 dodge ram 3500

umm i think you could get a cable that is hooked to your fuel shut off solinoid. but just have it hidden some where in the cab. some one with more expirence will chime in soon.

There are three wires to your shut off solenoid. Two being power and one being ground. Wire a switch into that ground wire and hide the switch some place

EDIT: actually that wont work if they know what the hell they are doing. They'll just zip tie the soleniod up. But it'll keep the dumb ones from getting her.

jake. . .that would only stop a few just as you said. . .

best thing may be a manual battery lockout, unless you have a manual, then you'll need something else. maybe a secondary fuel shutoff. we have these on US military trucks sporting the same P7100 pump. it is an emergency fuel shutoff and all it is is a ball valve. it would be hard to shut the lift pump off since it is a mechanical pump that runns off a lobe on the cam.

How about something like this? It's not high tech or nothing but ...

Why wouldn't killing one of the power wires to the lift pump work?

Gotcha .... I missed that part.

I wanna say to hook up some sort of butterfly in front of the turbo that once closed blocks the air going into it. You could probably just use an old choke cable to do it.

well the switch to the ground wire seemed like a good idea but you can still turn it on manually and the ball valve seemed good to but i would need to pop the hood everytime i turned the truck on or run some diesel lines into the cabin and i dont want to do that
as for the tirelock their worthless iv had a few of em and they come off easily if you know how to jerk em...
any more ideas????
