Here's a WAAAY off topic question ....

Why don't Cowboys dress like Cowboys anymore?

I never really took notice to it until recently. Believe it or not, I'm a HUGE western movie fan. I absolutely love em, and one thing that I've noticed is that Cowboys in these westerns wear their pants INSIDE of their boots so that you can see the whole boot. Nowadays Cowboys wear their pants OVER their boot.

Why ??

The boots are so cool looking, why do todays modern Cowboys cover em up?

 

Some say the reason cowboy's used to wear the wranglers inside their boots is so the sheep couldn't get away.

 

When I'm riding, I've got mine tucked inside the boot. Look in the video. I will say this, when I put out hay for the horses and I've got my pants tucked inside, the boots fill up with hay.
