aam rear axle hemi question

Default aam rear axle hemi question

is it possible to get a 11.5 aam in a 2500 hemi or is the 11.5 only in diesel thanks

Alldiesels got onlythe 11.5,allHemis are the 10.5 AAM axle.

I believe the only way to get the 11.5 is if it is a 3500 dualy w/hemi. and I have seen only a hand full of these.

The Hemi PowerWagon has 10.5" outer housingbut the axels themselves are 1.5something " in diameter-out of the one ton. Me and the dealer figured this out because the dealer book said the PowerWagon axels designated with an E for elecric locker hold less fluid than a standard 10.5" because the axels are larger in diameter and occupy more space inside the tubes. Hope this helps.
