RE: big tires stock rims??
I'm not positive but, I believe 305/85/17's would be 35's. A lot of people like Nitto Terra grapplers. I just got a set on my work van and they're very nice tires.... the price is right too considering what they cost any more !
I like ProComp myself. They wear well, they aren't loud and they're good in all conditions. One suggestion.... just be sure to get at least 8 ply and if possible 10ply tires. The truck is really heavy :-)

305 is a 33 inch tires. 315 is a 35. Seeing that you use your truck for work, in constant snow, I would get an aggressive tread design. The Pro Comp Xtreme Mud terrain has a 65000 miles warranty. They will fit your stock wheels no prob, especially with a 6 inch lift. When you get it done, be sure to post pics.

A305 is not a 33" tire, nor is a 315 necessarily a 35" tire. The 305 or 315, for example, is refering to width of the tire. The second number is the sidewall height measured as a percentage of the width, for example a 305/65r17 is 305mm wide and has a sidewall that is 65% of 305mm tall or 198.25mm... it would be the equivelant of a 32.6"x12.0"r17 tire. You could say that a 305 is a 12" wide tire and that a 315 is the equivelant of a 12.5" wide tire.
You can use this calculator, it has come in handy forme before... http://www.procomptire.com/conversionchart.htm
I am not sure but i think a 12.5" wide tire will be close to rubbing on the control arm when used on the stock wheels. I am very certain that a 13.5" wide tire will rub the control arm when using the stock wheels. I think you would be fine with a 37x12.50 on the stock wheels with no rubbing, if that is of any interest.

Triton-
Looks like a 305/75r17 is the equivelant of a 35x12r17. i am not sure which you have on your van but either way (305/65 or 305/85) I am sure it is pretty decent looking. I think I remember seeing apicture of it one time. You should throw another pic of it up on here so we can all see how you roll at work .
