Ride to where, Daytona?

I've only got one problem with that, and that problem is TIME !! I can load up 2 bikes in the trailer and me and my friend can take turns driving straight through and we'll get there in about 20 hours and we'll feel pretty good when we get there. Theres no way in hell I could ride my scoot for 20 hours straight at full throttle, and I honestly don't know of too may ( if ANY ) "real" bikers who could. That would then turn a 1 day trip into a 2 day trip and you'd be pretty beaten up at that point as well. Times that by two ( return trip ), and you've now pissed 4 days out of your 1 week trip just to get there and back. When I have all the time in the world, then I guess I'll become a "real" biker. Until then, I'll just do the best I can with the time that I have.

Yeah I know you were. I'mnot pissed at you at all. I'm just bummed that I can't take these trips every year like I used to.

Sucks ....

Have you and your buds considered either of these bike weekends?

Bean Blossom Boogie Rally - Springville, Indiana July 17 to 20, 2008

Little Sturgis Rally - Little Sturgis, Kentucky - July 17 to 20, 2008

I've been to both, as both are within 5 hours of where I live.....and I prefer Sturgis over the Boogie, simply because it's more secluded.....

Both are great rallies though, and are fairly cheap......averaging at least 15-20,000 people...

There's actually been a Little Sturgis in Western Maryland that I've been to. When you think of the movie Deliverance, THIS would be a rally like that !!

EAST COAST STURGIS

Last year I went to fall Myrtle Beach and had a blast. I'm going back there again this year, and YES, I ride to and from Myrtle. It's about a 14 or so hour trip.

Yeah..with my credit card (worst thing I ever did) my pump cuts off at $80. AND THEN I have to start it again if I want to complete fill the tank like on the way back to NC. I just watched the news and on CT is the most expensive cash in the US. $4.60 is the max. Thank god I dont have to fill up untill around NY or Penn on the way back!

well i dont see 4.60 around in CT cuz i live in CT. the highest i have seen was 4.25 dollar a gal

I was down to texas for Christmas it was really nice to fill up for under a hundred dollars at the time. it was around 85 I haven't done the conversion for USD. but around here it is around 1.28 a litre and it was 156 to fill CDN. dollars.

but it still beats being seen driving a SMRT Car har har!!

yea @ my work there is 70 trucks, all of them have 80-150 gallons of fuel each... most of them use almost all of it a day, so if you wanna work the numbers thats 70 trucks with avg of 125 gals used each day equals about 8750 gallons, which multiplyed by the $4.49/gal equals $39,287 a day in fuel! holy ****

just be glad you dont have to fill up my military M984Wrecker, 150 gallon tank
Attendant at a local station used to love me when my tank would run dry at the shop. I would pull my Mack in there to fill up (55gal drivers side, 45 gal passenger side and 1000 gal on back) Got kind of expensive....... then I would go pump it into the other trucks in the yard (40 trucks averaging 90 gal needed each) then go back as many times as needed.
