Default Show me your bushwackers

I know that could stir things up over here....

But I need flares, want Bushwackers, had them on a Toyota I restored and really liked them. But I would like to see the OE style on the Ram and the Extend a flare.

The OE gives me 1 3/4" at the top of the wheel well, but I think it might only give me the same 1 3/4" at the bottom, in other words it follows the body line, exposing tire.

The Extend a flare gives me 2 1/4", but the pics they have only do not really make it clear if it follows the body, or it it keep a "level" extension all the way down, meaning at the bottom it would be more like a 4" flare, keeping the tire inside of it.

Not sure how deep mine are. Might have to go measure them, but they're Pocket Style. It's dark now (obviously) but maybe the cam will work... Let me see what I can do.

They are overpriced considering the material required and the number they most likely sell. But after a couple days of my new rims and tires and crap flying up on the body,I have to do it.

Paint is going to cost me about another bill on top of it.

So far the best price I can find for Extend a flare BW is $380 shipped.

I've been thinking about adding silver ones on mine for that over the wheel well look. Not sure if it would look right on a 2500 or not, might be too feminine looking... Anyone have an opinion?

I think Dodge pickups look great with bushwacker fender flares on them! I see some with the pocket flares and stock tires, and that looks kinda silly. But, if the flare widthfits to the tires size/width they look great. I don't have more than a stock tire on mineand don't forsee anything much wider or nobbier so I went with the OE width/style. You are right the "OE" does have the same width all the way around, following the body lineand will expose the tire at the bottem end but with a good mud flap the protection is less of an issue in that area. Looks like inthe picture of94rt10ohio he has some nice big tires, and the pocket flare or extend a flare will look awesome and should give good coverage much more than the "OE"'swill... So it looks like it is down to the Pocket Flare or the Extend-a-flare. It looks like the pocket flare will give you the width all the way around from the pics of energinerbuzzy's. Not sure on the extend-a-flare's though...

I bought em, extend a fenders. From some other pics it does appear they keep their tire coverage towards the bottom on the rear part of the flares.

This silver pics you see the in the pics are not silver from Bushwacker. THey only have black, but you can paint them. I will post up pics when it is done in case anyone may be able to benefit from the pics. Figure a week to get them, another week before I get them painted and put on. Painting is a bitch, have to get decenet weather, take the stuff out of the garage, blah, blah... Almost not worth it if I can find a shop that will do them at a resonable price.
