low rpm power
i ran my truck a little hard tonight to show it off to a fellow cummins lover and wasn't too impressed with my lower rpm power. tonight was really the first time that i have maxed out the adrenaline in the agressive files. once i hit above 2000 or so then all at once you feel it really come alive. im sure that the 47re starting to slip isn't helping matters but would a smarty or another chip give me more of the lower rpm power that i am looking for. Any one want to lend me theirs so i can give it a try???
My power rolls on nicely after I get a little speed on it. I can have it on the 70hp tune and put it on the floor and she won't slip a tire off the line (no brakes of course) till the speed comes up (roughly 20mph, I think its cause the Tq Conv. hits full lock at 18mph) then the back trys to come around front..., I'm dealin with tranny slip right now and haven't had it above the 40hp tune since December. If the tranny was good I'd tune up and gotell you xactly where it comes on but just cant risk it right now sorry bud. Good luck!
i too am slowly having tranny issues but i can feel a major difference in the motor as soon as i hit 2000 rpms. as soon as i reach it my boost rockets up as well as egts and it really starts to make some power! i just am wondering if there is another kind of chip, programmer or whatever that will give me some more power under the 2000 rpm mark.

Smarty and a Edge Comp Stack is pretty mean at low end... My poor stock clutch couldn't hold the power... I could just step on it and spin the clutch.... If the clutrch desided to hold it would roast the tires quite well!
