what automatic is behind the 12valve&how much does it cost to rebuild it?

Ok, now I feel bad for being a smartass, so here's what I came up with for you. What I can find is that the standard duty transmission that was available is the 47RE and the Heavy Duty transmission is the 48RE. Can you rebuild the transmission yourself, or are you going to have to pay a shop to do the work?
