06 Muffler Delete?
Are there any negatives on just a muffler delete on my 06. I know taking the kitty away will cause a few problems but how about just the muffler. I am trying to get ugly to breathe and sound a little better.

You may end up with bad cab drone pulling your trailers. On the plus side lower EGT's and a little more power. Free flow mufflers are a nice in between. Buddy of mine gave me his brand new muffler delete (he went for a full turbo back), I ran it for a week, nice sound at the tailpipe, cab drone with every little pull. Ended up with the same MBRP replacement that NicKBeeK has. Nice sound, no drone even with a load.
I still have the delete pipe, PM me if you want to try it, hardly got any soot inside yet.

I'm set up with a 4" turbo back duel MBRP and have not seen a single code thrown. The sound is awesome and there's not really any (bad) drone. No kitty and no muffler here
you can yank the cat without any issues. . .however if you plan on doing a muffler delete, leave it on, it'll help kick the drone out. now if you go with an aftermarket muffler then yank the kitty.
just by removing the cat my EGT's went down about 50F, but removal of the stock muffler is good for nearly 200F reduction in EGT's.

What's the matter little feller gettin bored?
Cut it off, you can always weld it back on, or get the MBRP like mine.
