RE: OT: Craftsman jack
I'm actually boycotting craftsman tools right now cause I took a socket in while wearing my coveralls and they wouldn't warranty it because it was "used for industrial purposes" basically, if your a mechanic, they won't warranty your ****. I love Mac n Snap-on.

I've had one for about 4 years, no problems. Kinda slow but no leaks.

wait, a 20" lift works for you? i bought a 3 ton from northern tool that has a 23" lift and i barely get enough clearance to get a wheel off.
check this out, uses your own exhaust to inflate it

this would be better than the craftsman

RE: OT: Craftsman jack
yeah i put a jackstand on a 1 inch ply under the chassis as well. havent needed the hi lift yet, but tried it at the beach on some soft sand to test out my method.the jackstand really helps out, think if i was gonna use it for real id put on jackstand on the chassis that runs along the doors and then the other on the front or rear axle area depending on where the flat is, that plus the high lift and you should be fine, just un torque the wheel nuts before you lift it and retorque em once you lowered the lift.
