Default Steering Parts

I have noticed that the ball joints on my steering are getting a little loose. There's some slop in the wheel- not a ton, but more than when new, about an inch of movement to get the truck to respond. I have looked at the Thuren Fabrication parts and I would love to install them but at $429 it's a little steep. Nice thing is, if they ever wear out they are much less expensive to replace. I thought that I had seen a site where the original ball joints are drilled out and after market ones installed. I can't find it again- does anybody else have a link?

Other than these two and stock, do you guys/gals have any thoughts or suggestions?
