mike, those other things **** me off too, don;t worry. as for witholdings, we filed everything the same except for status, ie married vs. single. his paychecks after taxes and witholdings and mine after witholdings, well, before too, i suppose, are identical, within a few dollars. so it boils down to that he just gets more of his money back, plain and simple. thats why i'm so pissed

 

I understand, our tax system is sooo jacked up, no other way to put it. And I doubt it gets any better in our lifetime.

"Stimulus"? ... why couldn't they cut the federal tax on fuel a bit and help everyone out? It'd be a great way to instantly stimulate the economy for everyone in all sectors and income levels.

Well i don't even recall how much I paid into, and personally am illiterate when it comes to filling out those tax forms, hate to pay someone to tell me how much I owe them and owe the country, so my mom does it. She has been doing taxes forever. It must be I am in a high tax bracket because I work three jobs, well two and a prn job. I don't know, but sometimes I wish I was hispanic and didn't have to pay taxes.
