My Old Mans Friend Got Scammed When Craigs List Became Popular.
That Was When They Only Allowed Pics VIA HTML - So Having A Pic Of The Truck Made It Seem Real. On A Saturday, He Made His Way To The Warehouse To Meet A Guy In The Front. Could See The Car Through The Window. Guy Had A Good Looking Title In Hand. They Made The Deal For Cash Bill Of Sale And All With The Company Name On The Front. Guy Hands Him Keys & A Title.. "Walk Around Back I'll Have My Guy Bring It Out."
Walks Around.. Waits For About 15 Minutes.. Knocks On The Back Door.. Nothing.. Then Walks Around The Front, The Guys No Where To Be Found. Calls The Cops, Nothing They Can Do Until They Speak To The Owner.
Goes Back The Following Day To The Business W/ The Cops - It Was The Owners Truck Inside, And WAS NOT Selling It. The Bill Of Sale Didn't Was Not From Them. Nor Did The Guy Work For Him. Apparently The Guy Already Got One Other Person For The Same Scam.
Needless To Say.. He Didn't Get The Car or The Money.
