Default trans temp?

What kind of trans temps (auto) are you guys, and gals, seeing? I've been runin around 176-180ish unloaded and around 200 pullin the dump trailer. I installed a DD mag-hytec pan yesterday and while it takes longer for the temps to get there they still are. Seems alittle warm to me. Am I worrying about nothing?

Thats about what my truck runs unloaded, don't pull a trailer but push snow in the winter and doesn't get much higher than 186.

as long as you're not seeing anything close to boiling ( 220F ) you're fine. If it's hot where you are... you can expect what you're seeing.

I also changed both the Trans & Diff Cover and added Royal Purple. I had noticed a drop in Temp. with the stock diff. cover after adding Royal Purple. The covers also have to help.

I've been close to 200 pulling the fifth wheel but not over that. Usually around 170 empthy. If you have tow/haul mode use it. It will drop your temps a good 15 degrees or so.

well if ya cleaned your rear diff it would look like the mag on the right...
as for the tranny pan youre not worried about ripping that off? that would sit way too low on my 4x4.

its bulletproof plastic....
its a very easy way to check on your teeth, and for me and my fellow 1/2 tons with the damn C(U)NT clip issue in our LSD that would be great...
