RE: With all the problems the 6.7 has.....
Okay, just talked to my vet who has a new 1ton chevy maxi-pad, he just came home from a 300 mile or so jaunt down the freeway, avg. 17, forgot to ask it that was pencil or digital, avg. around town here 13. One thing to you all shouldknow is we live in a very small town, two flashing red lights in the middle of town. Pop. 2000 people so our town driving is probably a little different from most. I do have a friend in Montana who drives 37 miles to his mailbox, so we're citified around here..

My truck has 6500 miles. I bought it new. Yes, I paid for the "anti spin" and it show it on the build sheet. The owners manual says that you may have to slightly apply the parking brake to get both wheels to spin. The "anit spin" work better when there is pressure applyed. So if one wheel is freely spining, and the other is planted, no power is going to go the the planted wheels, unless there is pressure applyed to the freely spining wheel. That's where applying the parking brake comes in. But I did try that, and it still won't apply power to both wheels. I'll take it in this week and see what the dealer has to say about it.
Yes, the stock tires do not provide good traction on slippery surfaces. But this was not a tire issue. I just couldn't get all the wheels spinning. It would not have been so imbarrasing if all the wheels were spinning and I still could not get out. Then I could say, " it has ****ty tires on it." But when 1 rear, and 1 front are spinning, (2wd while in 4wd) and your father-in-law, who is a die hardFord guy, and who has aPower Stroke of his own say's, "that a frickin joke", then he tow's you out with his truck. It's a little imbarassing.

I had a fella tell me the same thing about his maxi-pad getting 20 plus mpg stock, I didn't call him a liar, just said I didn't believe him. Thats not the same is it?? If Icould see it with my own eyes I would be very impressed. Those mothers do put out the power and are pretty fast to boot. However the new Chevy trucks are UGGGLY...now that I think about it, my Vet has a new one, think I'll ask him, him I would believe. But it's still UGGGly.

All I can say is there is something wrong with your truck, or the beaners down in Mexico forgot to install it. So your build sheet may be wrong. Mine works great, I didnt apply the brake or anything. That is kind of stupid IMO. Maybe I got lucky with my truck. I havent had any of the probs everyone else with the 6.7 is having. I better not either. 25K down payment is alot for a brand new truck with problems.

If your truck has a 5.9l in it then you have no emmisions crap to worry about. Mine has more than enough power, even when it was stock. A 4 wheel drive is not a true 4 wheel drive unless you have lockers front and rear, then good luck turning espicially since the front end doesn't disconnect. The dodge limited slip is a joke, and only applies to the rear if one of your front tires looses traction and the other one has traction, the one with out traction is going to get all of the power, same with an open rear end, with the dodge limited slip (in my experience) the only time it will spin both is when both lose traction on slick surface if one has more bite the other spins.
