ran 100% WVO in Diablo
I went to Los Angeles last weekend and decided to give a much higher concentration of teh wvo a try. I started off with 90% wvo and 10 pump diesel. it worked well. I made it to the morongo casino and my overhead meter said I have 3 miles of fuel left. I poored 9 gallons of wvo and no pump diesel. It ran perfectly. I have been filtering the wvo with another step from what I buy it with and I have yet to go through another filter after adding this step. Cold starts are still a problem, but for long trips this is the way to go imo. Right now that I am back I am running about 65/35 ratio 65wvo 35 pump. this morning starting was a pain in the *** but I am goign to add another few gallons of pump today.
The trip went well. I was racing on the 10 west a older what looked like a gt350 clone it was very nice and he was enver able to get the lead, at 105 mph he kept letting off, keep in mind this was at about 1:00 a.m. so not much traffic at all. we played back and forth for miles.

hey jimmy find it hard to believe that the oil is hard to ignite. have been running 100% here since the weather started staying above 20 degrees and never have a problem honestly do not tell any difference in the starting except some white smoke which is unburnt oil but as soon as some heat builds in the cylinders it is gone do you refine your own oil ? hope you have good luck and get that figured out.

I get it from a guy on craigslist. he filters it and sells it for $2.00 per gallon.
and I get cold start issues when I use it I don't know why but I do. I get the white smoke for about 6 minutes then it goes away. I like that because it pisses off the neighbors.

Hey Jimmy, I've got 75 gallons of WVO here at the house and don't have time to convert it to bio-diesel like I had planned. I am going to filter it and just mix it with diesel. What do you think is the best ratio? Right now it gets around 80 for the highs and 55 for the lows.I was thinking about a 50/50 mix and see where it goes from there.
