Need Help Fast Please!!!! Trucks at the dealer
Man, sorry to hear about the luck. My thoughts, A dealer cannot void your warranty. There is no where that a dealer has access to to click a button and void your warranty. What the dealer can do is refuse to file a warranty claim for the repair. They can report to a district manager what they found and the district manager can decide to void the warranty. Threatening them with the Magnason Moss act is not going to help your case.. What can be done to try and help is to go in, in a nice mood and tell them that you decided to not get the repairs done at this time. That you appreciate all their help, but that you are gonna to just take the truck home. Then take the truck home and remove all BullyDog items. Remove all things that were not on the truck when it left the factory including the wheels and tires. Then go to another dealer and describe your trans problem to them. Hopefully the new dealer will be more helpful. If you are worried that the dealer reported your problem to a district manager to try and get your warranty voided, send me the last 8 digits of your VIN and I might be able to see what action was taken...I know that this is not what you wanted to hear, but the sad fact is that the dealer really does not know if you riuned the trans with the bully dog are not. And just them seeing the Bully Dog gives them a reason to not want to file a warranty claim. I have seen a District manager want to void a powertrain warranty because the tires that were on the truck were bigger than Dodge thinks is ok.
I know that some people are going to ask,"why can't the dealer just look the other way and pretend that they never saw the Bully Dog?" Well truth is that they can if they want to..But if they get caught, Dodge will charge them back for the repair. And Dodge could charge them back for every trans repair that they have done that was suspicious..And they could also loose the abilty to even turn in a warranty claim without the trans/truck being inspected by a District manager.
