Default Derated?

I was under the assumptiom that the trucks with manual transmissions have more HP and torque to the wheels, yet someone on here spoke of the 6.7L stick shift being derated. Anyone with some insight?

Its been a while but I read that the manual trans could not handle all of the power of the 6.7 so it was cut back from 350/650 to 325/610.

that is right for even the non CC versions. the G56 and the DPF cannot handle the torque. chevy is doing the same thing with the duramax.
