Default installed hx40 turbo.

hey everyone I just got a hx40 turbo installed on my truck. I picked it up for $300 with the down pipe and let me tell you what a differance. I was only hitting 25psi with my stock and now im hitting 33psi.=) but my question is how much boost can I hit with this turbo none safe and safe?

I know that the stock HX35 that you did have, max was about 40-45. that 40 may be able to push a little more, about 55 or so, however the thing you have now is it flows a heck of a lot more air.

Do you mean out of the tailpipe Drew? Does that mean that his EGT's will be lower?

EGTs "should" be lower anywhere from 50 to 100 deg, my guess.Spoolingup may take afew morerpms, depending on exhaust wheel.

yea, lower EGT's so you can add more fuel

and splat is right, that 40 will be a little bit laggy.

Come up my way and I'll show you what a PDR-HX40 can do. I think you will love a bigger turbo. Just address the intake. A CAI is about the only choice.

My 40 screams. As far as lagging............. it's all in the foot. Pressure vs rate of application.

My young Jedi, MAYFAIR, has yet to master the task.

that PDR HX-40 is designed to have a quicker spool up. . .snag a stock HX 40 and it will be a bit more laggy than yours

k so you say it can handle 40 pounds no problem. but how do I adjust the wastegate? I already have the boost elbow on it. any how to's with out taking the turbo off.
