My son is a member of the "Toaster Mafia". He's on a forum like this and has been inspired to put about 2 grand in mods already. And I think they bend the A pilllars to meet the roof. I'm sure it depends on the vehicle you are dealing with.

Used to be manuals were good for a few more mpg but I noticed that isn't true anymore. For the Japanese cars my wife was looking at anyway.

 

front will be the hardest part,i can cut it and put it back together but i hate bodywork and sanding..... slop post in front are the real deal

chopping glass is kinda tricky u have to pour water on it as u grind it and still crossing ur fingers while doing it mouhahahaha

as for rebuilding the one i bough if u look at the pics the bumpers brackets arent even bent and no pieces of the engine had been damaged...
fenders,hood,bumpers,windshield little bodywork and paint.... maybe a thing or 2 but thats all,i spoke whit the guy who sell it and he got a really good feedback on ebay so...
i will clear easy for 6K when done and here those sell for about 18K for a 2006 so maybe il do an easy 10K$ or end up giving it to my wife

 

I think you should buy it, fix it, chop it, and then gimmie a call to come pick it up
