The Jeep sucked in water, died. The guy was freaking out. I talked him through the process though. Got it runnin in a few minutes, its all good now. Got a short video for yall too. Here ya go.

I got a beater. But its in Minnesota. Gonna go get it this june. This is it, 78 bronco, 9 inches total lift. highly modified 351M, 38 inch ground hawgs.
Now THATS something to take off road! I had a friend who had a bronco of the same vintage. It had a 460, some suspension work and I think 37" and it was unstoppable, .... when it had tranny fluid in it. It got about 5 mile/qt tranny fluid. We were out one time and the air filter just disintegrated. Some of the guys told him to park it and come back later with a new filter. He didn’t want to leave his truck so he drove it home, through mud, hillclimbs and some pretty hairy stuff. I had never seen someone off-road without an air cleaner before, but he did, and the truck survived. Not much to look at but one tough truck.

My best friend and I built a 78 bronco in High School, and I'll tell you I have never driven a rig so strong. Then when I was in Iraq he traded t without letting me have the chance to buy it. So I bought this piece off Ebay for 1,200 bucks. It runs, but it is tore up pretty bad. Hole in the windshield, no rear window. (full of snow right now.) LOTS OF RUST. But rust is not an issue to me. Its gonna get torn up anyways so no big deal. I would like to toss a built 460 in it.
If its only an off road rig, don't bother "building" the 460. A bone stock, good running, 460 has plenty of power! Spend your money on good driveshafts, aluminum radiator, electric fans and recovery gear. Gotta love a beater!
