Hello...

Wondering if anyone can help me. When I shut off the truck (07 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 DWD 5.9L auto) I hear a noise that sounds like "spreech" it sounds like you say it, but with a more whooshing sound. I am not sure what this is or exactly. I only have 11,000 miles on it and it used to do it rarely, now it is every time I turn it off. I have no mods other than the Silencer ring removed. Any help would greatly be appreciated :-))

 

She's still a Virgin, give her time and she'll loosen up.
I have 12500 miles and mine shakes like a moose is in the bed shaking fly's off his a$$!!

 

Thanks for the reply. I understand the newness aspect, but is this a normal sound I should be expecting ?? This is my first Diesel so i am new the"sights & sounds" so to say.

 

Belt chirp when you shut it off. Completely normal. You can try a different belt. I've tried a few on my 02 and was never able to get the chirp to stop. My 04 doesnt seem to have that problem though.

 

Comes and goes, but if you turn the A/C off first that's helps to stop it

 

mine did it when i bought it but after installing a new ac delco belt there is no more noise at shut down.
