OT - Firefox....
I know there are a lot of proponents of Firefox and just thought I'd chime in on this. I usually couldn't give a rip about all this stuff, but for work I use IE 6 (the older software that i support doesn't support IE 7) and it's been getting so sloooow. I was just on this page this morning and I finally closed the page because it was to slow to load. I figured what the hell, I'll give firefox a try. SOOOOOOOOOO much faster loading pages. And the look and feel of it are very very similar. So anyone afraid of switching (Mayfair) should seriously consider it. Just thought I would share my experience.
def.. have you found the tabs feature yet? like click on a post in df but use your scroll whell (click it in) or the longer way right click open in new tab (not window) thats the best feature right there i tell you what...
No kidding, makes me wonder why I haven't done this before. I know there is a way to turn off the ads on the page, where do I find that. I haven't really looked yet, but I know it's somewhere in here.

ive used firefox for over 5 years, back in nov or so 2002....
Chewy i know the older versions supported all the way down to 95 and if youre using windows 3.11 at work you need to take a long walk off a short pier

remember when windows 95C came out and it supported this cool thing called USB.... oh how far we've come...

The only thing that I see that might effect it is under Tools | Options |Content tab, but there's nothing that I see that directly deals with ad's. I see Load Images Automatically, but to me that means all images. Is that the option you are talking about.?
