hello this will be thrid dodge ram my first two where both 1997 ram 1500 ex cab 2wd
Ive now went up to 1998 dodge 2500 4x4 24vavle cummines turbo diesel

everything is pretty sound. truck runs great. the price seemed a little low tho

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new ride.

You'll find a lot of folks with a lot of good info to help you out with that diesel.

Take a peek through some of the DIY's up near the top and you'll find a lot of useful info for maintaining these puppies......not that they require anything overly extensive.

My first question is how much do amber yellow clearance light cost? and are they hard to intall? or should I have a shop do it?
I does kinda bug me drilling holes in my roof

Most of the folks here use Recon lights www.gorecon.com

RedRam05baby did a write up on how to install them but that was on a 3rd gen. I want to say Mayfair did one for the 2nd gens...happy searching

The light kit themselves is only about $80. They usually come with the template to mark and drill the holes, if you get the factory ones.

If you decide to go the factory route, the best one to ask would probably be Dave (parts/service), he's the Service and Parts manager at O'Neal Dodge.
